Chattanooga State Division Of Nursing And Allied Health Presents Series Of Information Sessions

The Division of Nursing and Allied Health at Chattanooga State Community College will present a series of information sessions during the month of August for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Topics of discussion will include the application process, admission requirements, selection process, curriculum details, licensing and credentialing examinations, career opportunities, and more. All of the information sessions will be held in the Health Science Center (HSC) on the main campus.


Information sessions for the registered nursing program are scheduled for this Tuesday at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the first floor of the HSC in room 1083. Reservations are not required. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory for admission into the program. The application deadline for the LPN to RN transition program is January 15, 2013. The application deadline for the RN program is March 15, 2013.


Attendance is mandatory for the dental assisting program’s information session scheduled for August 9 at 5:30 p.m. The session will take place on the second floor of the HSC in room 2028. Reservations are required and can be made by emailing karen.castleberry@chattanoogastate.edu. The deadline to apply for the 2013 fall semester is June 15, 2013.


The pharmacy technician program’s information session is set for August 21 at 10 a.m. in room 2118 on the second floor of the HSC. Attendance is strongly encouraged but is not mandatory. A reservation is not needed. Admission to this program is on a rolling basis.

Grand Opening Held For New Meigs North Elementary Walking Track

Woman Found Dead On Lovell Road; Police Looking For Terry Releford

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case.
