Angela H. Farley, RHIT, CCS, of Health Informatics at Orange Grove Center, was awarded a $1000 scholarship by the Tennessee Health Information Management Association (THIMA). Ms. Farley, a student at the University of Tennessee Health and Science Center, is pursuing a master’s degree in Health Informatics and Information Management (HIM).
She will receive the Evelyn Freeman Scholarship, and is one of two applicants to be awarded. Scholarships are given to Tennessee students attending an accredited HIA/HIT program in Health Information Management, and who are enrolled in the final year of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program.
Applicants were judged on information on the application form, employment record, recommendations and financial needs.
