Chorizos And Top-Shelf Martinis - And Response

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

I find it extremely amusing how the media becomes so fascinated with presidential candidates’ tours – right down to what they are eating on the campaign trail.

I couldn’t help but laugh when Obama was chowing down (for breakfast) on scrambled eggs, chili, and chorizo (oh, but hold the onions) and that the media is wondering what Michelle Obama has to say about that since she is such a an advocate for “healthy eating.”

Well, then why is it that the media has no problem with the fact that Mrs. Obama adores drinking a lot of top-shelf vodka martinis and high priced sparking wines?  Why does that just “slip by” the Americans?

I have also wondered why the media is so concerned with what any candidate eats or drinks. I suppose it's just part of  having to fill a 24 hour news cycle. I'm pretty sure Willard and Mr. Ryan might eat or drink certain things, but I find that equally boring as well.

I especially don't care enough to actually write a letter about it. I'm more concerned with Willard's tax returns for the last 10 years or so, myself. Isn't that a tad more important than what the President or First Lady might be eating or drinking?

That might actually seem worthy of a letter, don't you think?
