Mike Pigg was named vice president of Life Care Centers of America’s Cumberland Region, which encompasses nine skilled nursing facilities in the company’s Eastern Division.
“Mike’s true passion for customer service and resident care made him the obvious choice for this position,” said Bart Walker, Life Care Centers of America’s senior vice president of operations. “I have enjoyed working with him over the last several years and know that our associates respond well to his high-energy leadership style.”
The appointment was effective Aug. 1.
Mr. Pigg stepped into this position from his role as Eastern Division controller, which he held for nine years. Prior to that appointment, he worked in Life Care’s Facility Financial Services department at the corporate office. He has served Life Care for the past 14 years and won the company’s Division Support Award this past September.
“My goal has always been to make a difference for the residents we serve,” said Mr. Pigg. “It has been a lot of the corporate support role, helping our associates to serve our residents better, and I am looking forward to having a more hands-on role.”
A Cleveland native, Mr. Pigg earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lee University. He and his wife, Donida, have four children.
Life Care Centers of America’s Cumberland Region is one of five regions in Life Care’s Eastern Division. It oversees centers in Cleveland, Collegedale, East Ridge, Hixson, Dayton, Ducktown, Lynchburg and Tullahoma.
