Local Adult Baseball Title To Be Decided At AT&T Field On Aug. 19

The Tennessee Valley National Adult Baseball Association will host two games at AT&T Field on Sunday, Aug. 19.

The first game at 1 p.m. will feature a jamboree style game with each team in the league playing three innings.

The second game will be the league championship game and will begin at 4:30.

Admission to both games are free. Donations will be accepted at the gate, and all poceeds will go toward funding the league championship team's expenses to represent Chattanooga in the NABA World Series Tournament this fall at Roger Dean Stadium (Sring Training home of the St.

Louis Cardinals) in Jupiter, Fla.

Heavy Rains Force Cancellation Of Sunday's Lookouts' Game.

The presence of heavy rain and thunderstorms in the area resulted in the cancellation of Sunday's game with the Tennessee Smokies At AT&T Field. The Lookouts and Smokies will play two seven inning games beginning at 5:15 p.m. Monday. The Smokies have won the first two games of the five-game series. (click for more)

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case. Deputies responded to that location at approximately 8 a.m. on a suspicious death. On arrival "deputies found a dead female in her 30s deceased from an apparent homicide."
