Eighteen Area Players Voted To TSWA All-State Softball Team

Led by first-team All-American Kelsey Nunley from Soddy-Daisy, 18 area players have been voted to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association all-state softball team.

Also on the Class AAA team with Nunley were Soddy-Daisy's Cassidy Hackney, Ooltewah's Taylor Baird and Walker Valley's Sidney Hooper.

Chosen in Class AA were East Hamilton's Shaliyah Geathers and Kelsey Payne, Sequatchie County's Emily Dagnan and Central's Shelby Williard.

Making the Class A team were Grace Academy's Betany Cowart, Lexie Dean and Kaitlyn Eldridge, Silverdale's Katie Henderson and Marion County's Brooke Baxter.

On the Division II team were Baylor's Cassi Pickett, Noelle Winkles and Lauren Lewis and GPS's Katy Richardson and Madison Boyd.
