Parking Wars - And Response

Friday, July 20, 2012

Has anyone seen the reality show, Parking Wars? It takes place in Detroit and Philadelphia and it's a hoot.

Get ready Chattanooga . . . . you're gonna get the Boot and towed if you don't pay. A ticket here starts at $11 then jumps to $41 if not paid within two weeks. Nothing like a 370% increase to get your attention.

A civilian business could never get away with such an steep penalty . . . but this is government, they have no bounds.

Bend over . . . here it comes again.

This is progress . . . right?

Tall fines for illegal parking tickets that go unpaid? Makes a lot of sense to me. We live in a republic were
we have the "rule of law". Unfortunately, those who continually park illegally, receive tickets, and never
pay those tickets, often seem to get away with it. Please, someone give us an alternative to booting a car
and increasing the fines? We're waiting.
