LaFayette Downtown Development Authority is hosting its next free “Movie in the Park Night” on Saturday, Aug. 11, at Joe Stock Memorial Park.
The movie, which is the second in a series of family-friendly films to be shown in downtown LaFayette, will begin at approximately 9 p.m. The park is at the intersection of Wardlaw Street and North Main Street.
The feature is a recent Dr. Seuss movie about 12-year-old boy who searches for a special tree to impress a girl; the movie features the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White.
The DDA is sponsoring the series of events to encourage people to visit downtown and support local businesses.
Families are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs to sit in while enjoying the film.
For the name of the movie, visit the Face Book page for One Eleven Restaurant, Chattooga Academy or the City of LaFayette.
