Margie Dyer, 69, of Trion, Ga., died Friday June 29, 2012 in Sheperd Hill Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Dyer was born Feb. 11, 1943, in Trion, the daughter of the late Charlie and Viola Smith. She was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills having worked for over 30 years in the weave department.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Stephens and Betty Butler, six brothers, James, Frank, Ray, Bill, Gene, and Wayne Smith.

Survivors include her sister, Joyce Ashworth, Calhoun, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday July 2, 2012 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wells officiating with interment in the West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jesse Smith, Shane Ashworth, Barry Ashworth, Steven Dyer, Greg Dyer, Matthew Ashworth.

Mrs. Dyer will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday July 1, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Feds Dismiss Criminal Charges Against Rarity Developer Mike Ross
