Signal Mountain Playhouse Opens The Music Man July 6

The Signal Mountain Playhouse presents Meredith Willson's musical "The Music Man" on July 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28 at 8 p.m.  The place is the Playhouse Amphitheater, just off the main Mountain highway (127 N.) at Rolling Way, just behind the Police and Fire Departments.   

Curtain is at 8 p.m. but the box office opens at 6 p.m. for those who wish to buy tickets and place lawn chairs early.  Tickets are $5 for children and $15 for adults and may be bought only at the door on evenings of performances.  Concessions and rest rooms as well as handicapped parking are located on Playhouse grounds.  

Veteran director David Wood has assembled a cast headlined by Greg Glover as Harold Hill, the Music Man, and Kendra Gross as Marian Paroo, the town librarian.  Mike Lees is directing the vocals, and Sandy Morris is conducting the 28 piece Playhouse Orchestra.

Pro-Rodeo In Cleveland Is Friday, Saturday

Head Of BB&T's Chattanooga Commercial Banking Operations To Plead Guilty To Making Fraudulent Loans

The head of BB&T's Chattanooga commercial banking operations has been charged by federal authorities with making fraudulent loans. Tracy Brown is set to plead guilty to bank fraud on June 4.
