I have recently tried eliminating gluten from my diet and I have found it to be quite expensive to do so, but I have found a little relief in the wallet thanks to this little store in North Georgia. I, like most red-blooded, meat-eating Americans love a good cold refreshing beer especially on a hot summer day near the grill. But as you know most beers contain gluten since they are wheat based.
So I searched the Internet and found there are gluten-free beers in the world afterall.
I decided to try some and, to be honest, some of them taste like rat poison. But I found one I really like and it is Redbridge... mmm.
I was shocked at the amount of money a six-pack costs at most every store. Most prices range from $8 to $9 a six pack. Well, I stumbled across a store named Lucky Al's #2. I asked the owner if he had Redbridge and he said no but he will order some the next time he places his order. I had to wait a week or so but he finally got some in. He was nice enough to put some in his cooler because he knew I would be in to pick up my order.
I asked how much is he going to sell them for and he replied, "$6.29 a six pack." After I picked my jaw up off the floor I said give me a case. Looking around his store I couldn't help but notice the prices on everything he has. No matter what beer strikes your fancy I am sure that if you pop into his store you will walk out with a little extra money in your pocket.
Lucky Al's #2 is located near the corner of Graysville Road and Highwayy 41. It is in the old gas station beside the haircut place. I am in no way connected to this wonderful place but would like to pass the word along so more people can start saving money and support a local business.
