UTC Basketball Golf Tournament Set For Aug. 20

Chattanooga Mocs Head Men's Basketball Coach John Shulman announced Friday that the team's annual golf tournament date is set for Aug. 20. The event not only benefits the basketball program, but it gives the student-athletes and staff an opportunity to engage their community.

"It's a great time not only for those that play, but also for our players and staff," Coach Shulman stated. "Every one of our kids are involved on the course giving them an opportunity to thank our fans for their support."

The tournament is a select shot format limited to the first 30 teams. The cost is $250 per person with varying sponsor levels. Registration is from 10:30 a.m.-noon with lunch starting at 11 a.m. The tourney begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Lunch is provided by River Street Deli and dinner following golf is courtesy of the Broad Street Grille at the Chattanoogan. There are prizes for Hole-in-Ones (cars, cash), Longest Drives, Closest-to-the-Pin and more.
