June Is Greater Chattanooga Association Of Realtors Month

Thursday, May 31, 2012

The Hamilton County Commission was the backdrop for a historic day in real estate for the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors. Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger recognized and proclaimed that June 2012 is Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors Month.

“On numerous occasions when you have newcomers move to Hamilton County, the realtors are generally the ambassadors, the first point-of-contact for establishing that relationship and presenting the amenities of our area,” Mayor Coppinger said. “The Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors and their members have become an integral part of the story behind Chattanooga’s success and the rebirth of our local community.”

“Realtors have been in the forefront of economic development, fair housing, aiding the homeless, growing the local economy and defending the property rights to all citizens of Hamilton County and throughout our entire region.”

Presenting to GCAR President Mark Hite, Mayor Coppinger said, “I would like to recognize the association for its 100 years of service to the Greater Chattanooga area and I now hereby proclaim that June 2012 is Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors month in Hamilton County.”

Mr. Hite said, “Few trade organizations can say that they have not only survived, but thrived, through 100 years and we are honored that the Hamilton County Commission acknowledged June 2012 as Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors month.”
