Voting Tuesday For New Chattanooga Mayor Coulter, Littlefield In Close Race posted April 11, 2005 Voters go to the polls on Tuesday to elect a new Chattanooga mayor to take the place of Bob Corker, who opted for only one term. It's a tight race between Ann Coulter, former executive director of the Regional Planning Agency and RiverCity Company official, and City Councilman Ron Littlefield. Voters in District 7 will be deciding between businessman Manny Rico and county school board member Debra Matthews to take the place of retiring Councilman John Taylor. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Over 10,000 votes were cast in early voting, which ended last Thursday. |
