Carl John Easterly, 94, of the New Hope community near Dunlap, died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at his daughter's residence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mason Easterly; parents, Joseph Taylor and Leuna Barber Easterly; two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his daughter, Virginia Pruett, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Mike Minter, Candy Crawley, Randy Minter and Sueann Evans; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. CST on Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Ewton Funeral Home chapel with Brother Philip Layne officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.
