Mickey Lynn Powell, 55, died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in a local hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a well-known area route salesman for Mayfield Dairy for the past 26 years. Mr. Powell was an avid Georgia Bull Dogs football fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Eugene Powell.
Survivors include his children, Crystal (Jeremy) Garrett, Chickamauga, Stephanie (Chip) Headrick, LaFayette; Michael (Carrie) Powell, Fort Oglethorpe; mother, Nevella Powell, Chickamauga; brothers, Brennon Powell, Chickamauga; Donald Powell, Chattanooga; and Ronald Powell, Trenton, Ga.; sisters, Peggy Smith, Soddy-Daisy, and Janet Aaron, Flintstone, Ga.; grandchildren, Savannah, Holly and Sydney Garrett; Lane and Gracie Headrick.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Michael Cole officiating. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
