This year’s Holiday Lights at The Chattanooga Zoo is slated for Dec. 11-12 and 18-19 from 5:30-8 p.m. each evening.
The Zoo will be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with holiday games and crafts for the family.
Adult tickets are $6 and senior citizens pay $4. Tickets are $3 for children ages 3-15.
“Holiday Lights is a festive event that allows visitors to experience the Chattanooga Zoo in a new and different way,” said Dardenelle Long, Chattanooga Zoo executive director. “It’s a Chattanooga tradition that is close to home and fun for all ages.
Members-only night is Dec. 10 and will include free admission and a private celebration. Members are encouraged to make reservations by calling 697-1319. A 50% discount will be given to members on all other nights.
On Dec. 11 and 18, visitors are invited to bring their own pets along to enjoy the festivities.
A special “Dreamnight” edition of Holiday Lights that has been planned for special needs children and adults at the Chattanooga Zoo on Dec. 17. Those interested in attending should make their reservations by calling 697-1319. The Chattanooga Zoo is easily accessible to individuals with all abilities.
In reference to the new renovations at the Chattanooga Zoo, Ms. Long said that many picture-perfect spots are available for great holiday photos.
She noted that on pet nights, all animals should be on leashes, current on vaccinations and well-behaved.
