Payne, Betty L. Retired From Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute posted November 5, 2009 Betty L. Payne, 84, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at her residence. She retired from Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute. She was a faithful member of New Anointing Pure Holiness Church of God where she had served on the Mother’s Board, Usher Board and sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Mattie Bradley; and husband, Robert Payne. Survivors include her daughter, Rosie Branch; grandchildren, Tor (Claudia) Branch, Charmin (Roderick) Harris and Ameria Branch; great-grandchildren, Roje, Nia, Chantl, Idalis and Torrean; great-great-grandchildren, Amaury and Anyia; sisters, Lucille Jones and Daisy Mitchell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be on Friday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at New Anointing Pure Holiness Church of God with Bishop A.D. Ringer officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Family hour will be on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. |
