Henry L. Minchew, 49, of Calhoun and formerly of Dalton, died on Saturday, October 31, 2009.
He was the daughter of the late Leroy and EraMae Treadwell Minchew; and was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Wayne Minchew; and sister, Dolly Belinda Skinner.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Renay Minchew of Calhoun; daughters and son-in-law, Laura Hatchett of Chatsworth and Jennifer and David Derks of Ponchatoula, La.; sisters and brother-in-law, Jeannie Whittington of Hammond, La., Loretta Hicks of Dalton, Linda Flowers Holden, La. and Darlene and Jack Smithson of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy J. Minchew, Larry and Rita Minchew all of Dalton and Ricky and Marie Minchew of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Elijah Hatchett, Elisabeth Dirks and Abby Dirks; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cheryl and Earl Defoor of Dalton; his pet, Zena; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Wednesday from noon until the funeral hour at 1. Burial will follow in Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery in McCaysville, Ga.
