When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, Crystal Zeppa, who stated that she was held against her will inside Johnson’s apartment, and when she tried to leave he dragged her back into the apartment by her hair. He then put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her.
Ms. Zeppa said during the scuffle with Johnson, she was choked and bitten by him. After getting free from Johnson, she ran to the parking lot where she was met by Chattanooga officers.
According to investigators, Johnson was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and kidnapping.
Ms. Zeppa was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
