Lebron Tyson Jones, 38, whose last known address was 604 Parkview Dr., Chattanooga, is wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for two counts of aggravated robbery, simple assault, failure to appear, violation of the sex offender registry and violation of probation.
The TBI said on the night of Aug. 17, Jones robbed the Champy’s Famous Fried Chicken restaurant where he had previously been employed. He demanded cash out of the register and then ordered everyone into the kitchen and face the wall. He exited a rear door.
Jones has a criminal history that dates back to 1982 and includes aggravated rape, assault, kidnapping, domestic assault, burglary, assaulting a police officer and failure to appear in court.
The TBI said he may still be in the local area, but also frequents Atlanta.
Jones is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5’5”, weighs 130 pounds and has tattoos on his chest and both arms.
Jones was last seen leaving the restaurant in a green four-door car, possibly a Nissan, driving east on 10th Street. He is considered dangerous and should be approached with caution.
