He was born in Henagar, Al., to the late Grady Morrison, and Florence Sutton, and was preceded in death by his sister, Naomi Ruth Tartar.
Floyd was a member and deacon at Bethel Baptist Church in Chickamauga, and a member of the Masonic Lodge # 397 in Rossville.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Melba Morrison, daughters, Linda (Ted) Goins, Brenda (Rick) Wright, all of Kensington, siblings, Loyd Sutton of Henegar, Al., Forrestine Blackburn, Eloise Bates, both of Chattanooga; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the chapel with Rev. Charles McElhaney officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens-South.
His family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, and prior to the service on Tuesday.
Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
