Opal Mae Cross, 89, died on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009.
She was a member of Whitwell Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of Eastern Star and had 52 years of service at the USDA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Laura Cross; sisters, Nancy Lay and Jewell Prigmore; brother, George W. Cross.
Survivors include her niece, Robin Sorenson, California; nephews, Chris Lay, Washington, Michael Cross, Nashville, Steven Prigmore and Phil Prigmore, both of California.
A graveside service will be held at Red Hill Cemetery at 1 p.m. CST on Monday, Nov. 2. Phillip Layne will be officiating.
Visitation will be on Monday, from noon until service time.
