Mona had lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area where she was a Christian and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tn. She last attended the Grace Baptist Tabernacle in Lookout Valley and was ministered to in her home by the Lookout Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Gertrude and Frank Reuben Kean; three brothers, Franklin Eugene “Gene” Kean, James Floyd “Snookey” Kean, and Bobby Lee Kean, Sr.; and one sister, Betty Buckles.
Survivors include her husband, Rhea Black of Cleveland; daughter, Susan Black of Chattanooga; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga for their care during this time as well as the endless and tireless hours of Sherry Gamble.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Brother Rickey Burnette and Brother William Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakewood West Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 2, and Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
