Lottie Looney Cox, 97, of Ocala, Florida, died on Friday, October 30, 2009 in Chattanooga.
Mrs. Cox was born in Grundy, Va., to Thomas and Minda Looney and was a longtime resident of Ocala. She attended Central Church of Christ in Chattanooga and previously worked as a beautician.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Cox; and two sons, Charles and Patrick Cox.
Survivors include her children, Ruby (Harold) Speer of Knoxville, Kenneth Cox of Bristol, Tn., and Jerry Cox of Chattanooga; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Church of Christ, UTC Christian Student Center, 609 Houston Street, Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.
Funeral services will be in Florida.
A memorial service will be held in Chattanooga at a later date.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
