Catoosa Candidate Says All Signs Swiped
posted October 4, 2009

Phil Spencer, candidate for the Catoosa County Utility District board of commissioners, has filed a police report saying all his campaign signs were stolen.

Mr. Spencer said, "Overnight on Saturday night to Sunday morning, 'all' of our campaign signs have been stolen and removed. These several hundred signs were placed around Catoosa County."

A police report was filed with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s office.

Mr. Spencer said he is personally offering a $500 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these thefts.

A neighbor in Morris Estates who has surveillance on his property may possibly have surveillance video of the theft, and the tapes are being reviewed, it was stated.

Mr. Spencer said, "If anyone else has surveillance on their property, I would like to encourage them to check also."

For information, please call Phil Spencer. His cell phone number is 423-991-3754. His home number is 706-891-8923.

The election is Tuesday.

He said, "There is not time to reorder and replace all these signs."
