Physicians Care, the Chattanooga area’s largest provider of walk-in medical centers is adding a family medical center to its already extensive network of provider locations. With over 102,000 patient visits per year, it was apparent that a family practice was needed to see patients by appointment, in addition to the availability of urgent care services.
On-sight physicians will be Bill Meadows, MD and Kenneth Patric, MD. Officials said, "The Center for Family Medicine offers its patients the unprecedented convenience of making their medical records accessible at any of the eight Physicians Care offices located around greater Chattanooga."
Patients will be able to see Bill Meadows, MD or Ken Patric, MD for scheduled appointments during normal business hours. In the event that an illness or accident occurs after regular business hours or on weekends, they can walk into any Physicians Care office to be seen as well.
“We believe that quality care shouldn’t stop at the end of the workday and the last thing that a patient wants to discuss when they’re not feeling well is their medical history. Now, our patients have one less thing to worry about at an already stressful time,” said Dr. Meadows. “Many of our patients and their families have requested that we establish a practice whereby they could utilize us as their family physician. We have listened to their request and are pleased to announce that we can now better meet the needs of our patients.”
The Center for Family Medicine by Physicians Care will be the company’s eighth and newest center located in the Corporate Image Plaza at: 1606 Gunbarrel Road, Suite 101, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
Hours of operation will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. To schedule an appointment, patients may call 423 648-1016.
Dr. Bill Meadows is the founder and owner of Physicians Care, which is in its 18th year of operation, as well as the Innovative Weight Loss Centers. He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee School of Medicine, is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, a Certified Medical Review officer, and member of the AMA and American College of Occupational Medicine.
Dr. Meadows was also the first president of the Urgent Care Association of America and is currently the co-director of National Healthcare for Fort Oglethorpe.
Dr. Patric went to the University of Rochester, School of Medicine for Medical School and graduated in 1976. After interning at The University of California – Los Angeles School of Medicine, he served his residency at The Merced Community Medical Center from August of 1977 to July of 1979.
Dr. Patric is board certified in Family Practice and has been the medical director for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, since 1996.
