Holley, Donald "Don" Howard

Donald "Don" Howard Holley, 64, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, July 3, 2009 in a local hospital.

A native of Danville, Va., Mr. Holley had lived in Chattanooga since 1978. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and was a member of the Chattanooga Elks Lodge #91. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Holley was a homebuilder and was involved in the building supply industry for many years before his death.

He is survived by his son, Scott (Elizabeth) Holley, Nashville, Tn.; daughter, Kelly (Jared) Barlew, Chickamauga, Ga.; former wife and best friend, Kay Holley, Chattanooga, Tn.; parents, Howard and Irene Holley, Danville, Va.; sister, Deborah (Gene) Touchstone, Martinsville, Va.; five grandchildren, Jake, Kyle, Lindsay, Allison, Parker, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at Highland Burial Park in Danville, Va., with Rev. Jack Fitts officiating.

The family requests that all floral gifts be sent to Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home, 703 N. Main Street, Danville, Va.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
