With their 9-3 win over the Carolina Mudcats at AT&T Field Wednesday, Chattanooga has reached .500 for the first time this season.

Tommy Lasorda, often called "Mr. Dodger", was on hand for the game.

The Lookouts offense exhibited great efficiency, plating 10 runs on nine hits en route

Ramon Nivar, who has been red-hot for the Lookouts since his recent addition to the roster, nailed a double to center with one out in the first inning. Josh Bell and Eddy Perez followed with singles to plate Nivar. The hit parade continued with yet another single; this time off of the bat of Russ Mitchell. Perez and Mitchell would eventually score on a Gaby Gutierrez double to left, giving the Lookouts a 4-0 lead.

Nivar had three doubles in the game.

Carolina finally scored a run in the fourth on doubles from Todd Frazier and Carson Kainer.

The Lookouts added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Gaby Gutierrez reached first on a throwing error by shortstop Zack Cozart. Joe Becker followed with a double to score Gutierrez. Lookouts starting pitcher James Adkins then hit a ball through the wickets of second baseman Eric Eymann to score Beck.

Singles by Eymann and Frazier to lead off the sixth set-up a Cozart sacrifice fly to put the score at 6-2.

Chattanooga added three insurance runs in the eighth on a three-run double by Eddy Perez.

The Mudcats scored their final run in the ninth to put the score at 9-3, but the Lookouts bullpen was able to preserve the win for Adkins (3-6).

The lefty went six innings, yielding two runs on five hits and one walk. He struck out three during the outing.

Lee Tabor (0-1) took the loss for the Mudcats. In 3.1 innings, he surrendered six runs (four earned) on six hits.
