Longtime Writer For Road Rash Magazine

David William "Rev. Booger" Pittman, 48, died on Monday, June 29, 2009.
He was born in Memphis on Feb. 21, 1961, but had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life and was of the Christian faith. He was employed with Shaw Industries as an electrician for more than 10 years and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was a member of the A.R.M. Group (Association of Recovering Motorcyclists), as well as a writer for Road Rash Magazine. He was always active in many different charities, such as the Stockings Full of Love and fund raising for the National Guard Troops serving overseas.
He was preceded in death by his father, John William Pittman; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Pittman and a special uncle, William "Boogie" Edington.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pam Pittman, of Rossville; mother, Helen Pittman, of Ringgold, Ga.; son, Alex William Pittman, of Rossville; sister, Janice Anderson, of Nashville; special niece, Lea Michelle Anderson and numerous other family, cousins and friends of the ARM Group.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother John Hitchens and Brother Jimmy Cornette officiating. All bikers are welcome to follow the procession to spread his ashes after the funeral.
Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel.
