Schneider Electrical has won a $3,645,199 contract at the Volkswagen plant at the Enterprise South Industrial Park.
The contract is for the electrical work on the power plant for the facility.
Bill Payne, city engineer, said Schneider is based in Illinois and has an office in Nashville.
He said the local Lawson Electric will have a major role as a subcontractor.
There were six bidders.
