On Thursday the Doubletree Hotel of Chattanooga is hosting a car wash that will benefit over 150 children in the Shrine Hospital. One hundred percent of the money donated during this car wash will be given to the Shrine to pay for supplies, transportation, and other medical items needed to transport the children to the Circus. Saturday the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership will celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic concert at Coolidge Park. Featuring the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Orchestra, Robert Bernhardt, Music Director and Conductor, Pops on the River is an outdoor musical concert held from 8-9:45 p.m., concluding with a patriotic fireworks finale shot from Renaissance Park. Outdoor Chattanooga will provide a free bicycle valet service during the Pops on the River concert on Saturday from 6-11 p.m. at their facility in Coolidge Park. They will also be accepting donations for Pedal Power, an effort to provide new and gently used bicycles and helmets to homeless individuals working to improve their lives.
