Precept Ministries International Women’s Conference Set For Aug. 21-22 posted June 27, 2009 “What has your constant attention and devotion?” This is the question Christian women will address at Precept Ministries International’s 2009 Summer Women’s Conference. The conference will be held Aug. 21-22 at the ministry’s headquarters in Chattanooga, located at 7324 Noah Reid Road. Kay Arthur, award winning Bible teacher, author and co-founder of the ministry, will be the conference’s main speaker. The conference’s theme is “Sorting Out Life.” As women, there are always things to be done and not enough time to do them, but God has a bigger plan for each of us than just getting through the day. Moving on with God’s agenda means stopping to take a look at life and prioritize what truly matters. Officials said, "This conference will help women learn how to live each day glorifying God in the midst of the busyness they encounter." Featured speaker Kay Arthur is co-founder and co-CEO with her husband Jack Arthur. Arthur’s passion to establish people in God’s Word by teaching them to discover the Bible’s Truth for themselves began in 1970 when she and husband Jack founded Precept Ministries International. Arthur has written 100-plus books and Bible studies, of which four received the Gold Medallion Award. Her newest books available are an expanded edition of Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible in 28 Days, Return to the Garden: Embracing God’s Design for Sexuality, and Youniquely Woman-Becoming Who God Designed You To Be. Arthur reaches over 90 million viewers and listeners through Precepts for Life (half-hour television program), and Precepts from God’s Word (one-minute radio feature), aired on nearly 1000 radio and television stations worldwide and online at Precept.org. Kay was recently awarded the NRB 2009 “Best Television Teaching Award” for Precepts for Life. She holds an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Tennessee Temple University.
