Bryan College announced earlier this week that Stacey Tatum, from Grace Academy in Chattanooga, has signed a letter of intent to player soccer for the Lions.

Stacey transferred from Ooltewah to Grace halfway through her junior year. Due to transfer rules Stacey was ineligible to play, but that did not keep her from putting on a uniform. Instead Stacey put on a helmet and some pads and was a kicker for the football team at Grace. Currently Stacey plays club soccer for Redoubt Futbol Club and Coach Curtis Blair.

Coach Sauve, the head women's soccer coach at Bryan, said "Stacey is a good player and will make our team better. She is very strong technically and is very good in a crowded area. Stacey also has a very competitive drive within her. Do not be fooled by her shy, sweet personality. Put her on the field and she becomes a fierce competitor that hates to lose."

While at Bryan, Stacey will be majoring in Nursing. Stacey will be competing for Dean’s Scholarship later this month. The Dean’s Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshman with a 3.0 or higher, high school GPA and either and ACT score of 24 or SAT score of 1100.
