Christmas At The Courthouse Is Dec. 8-12

Christmas at the Courthouse will be held Dec. 8-12 at noon at the City-County Courts Building, 600 Market St.

On Monday, Dec. 8, the Normal Park Lower School Choir will be performing with Director Jenny Lowe. The honorees will be County Clerk Bill Knowles, Assessor of Property Bill Bennett, Register of Deeds Pam Hurst, County Trustee Carl Levi and Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim Scales.

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, the 21st Century High School Chorus will be performing with Director Roxanna Edwards. The honorees will be Circuit Court Judge Marie Williams, Judge W. Neil Thomas III, Judge Jacqueline S. Bolton, Judge Jeff Hollingsworth and Court Clerk Paula Thompson. Also honored will be Chancery Court Judge W. Frank Brown III, Judge Howell N. Peoples and Clerk and Master S. Lee Akers.

On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Ganns Middle Valley Chorus and Hand Bell Ensemble will be performing with director Jeanni Highlander. The honorees will be City Court Judge Sherry Paty, Judge Russell Bean and Court Clerk. Also honored will be Sessions Court Judge Christine Mahn Sell, Judge David E. Bales, Judge Ronald Durby, Judge Clarence Shattuck and Judge Robert Moon. The Criminal Court Judges honored will be Judge Barry Steelman, Judge Rebecca Stern, Judge Don W. Poole and Court Clerk Gwen Tidwell.

On Thursday, Dec. 11, the Ooltewah Middle School Chorus will be performing with director Sarah Allen. The honorees will be Juvenile Court Judge Suzanne Bailey, Juvenile Court Clerk Ron Swafford, District Attorney General Bill Cox, and Public Defender Ardena Garth.

On Friday, Dec. 12, the performers will be Orange Grove Chorus and Dancers with director Monty Parks. The honorees will be County Mayor Claude Ramsey, County Commissioners, District 1 Commissioner Fred Skillern, District 2 Commissioner Richard Casavant, District 3 Commissioner Jim Coppinger, District 4 Commissioner Warren Mackey, District 5 Commissioner Gregory Beck, District 6 Commissioner John Allen Brooks, District 7 Commissioner Larry L. Henry, District 8 Commissioner Curtis Adams and District 9 Commissioner Bill Hullander.
