Attorneys Donnovin, Killian Named To BPR District Hearing Committee

Local attorneys Elizabeth B. Donnovin and Bill Killian have been named to the District Hearing Committee, for District III, of the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.

Ms. Donnovin is an attorney with Johnson Mulroony in Chattanooga, and Mr. Killian is a sole practitioner in Jasper, Tn.

The hearing committee members of the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility approve or modify recommendations by the disciplinary counsel’s office, or hear formal charges of misconduct against attorneys, pursuant to the Code of Professional Conduct.

The appointments were made by Chief Justice Janice M. Holder.

Hearing committee members serve a three-year term. Upon hearing of any formal charges brought against any attorneys, the hearing committee makes a recommendation concerning the punishment, if a violation of the Code of Professional Conduct is found by a majority of the hearing committee.

District III includes the counties of Polk, Hamilton, Sequatchie, Bledsoe, Meigs, Monroe, Bradley, Marion, Grundy, Rhea, and McMinn.
