Rapist Scum: Thank You, Judge Bales - And Response (2)
posted August 19, 2008

As a taxpaying citizen, husband, father and human being, I would like to thank Judge David Bales for raising the bond on Tracy A. Roberson, the 36-year-old piece of filth currently charged with the burglary, home invasion, imprisonment and rape of a 19-year-old girl in the North Chattanooga area.

As long as I have worked for local government I can recall the name of Tracy A. Roberson. I remember when he was dismissed from the Hamilton County Jail. I remember when Tracy A. Roberson was arrested while working for the UTC Police for burglarizing the student residences he was charged to protect. I remember the stalking charges Tracy A. Roberson is currently facing in the city of Red Bank. And I will never forget reading now about how Tracy A. Roberson is now charged with violating the property of Alan and Alison Lebovitz and the unimaginable horror he subjected a 19-year-old girl to during her captivity and the horror he subjected her to.

As a man, I am nauseated by the idea of what he is alleged to have done. As a father…I cannot express my feelings beyond the pitch-blackness of my simultaneous empathy and rage towards such a hideous violation and degradation of a young woman on the brink of the rest of her life, and how this will inevitably alter its course.

I grit my teeth to the point of a headache just thinking about it, and then feel guilty that this would bother me in the face of what this poor young lady is going through. That this career criminal was allowed to stalk society despite his finger-printed, documented past of taking advantage of peoples' trust as a public official, as a relative, and to still be allowed to stalk the innocent segments of our society who should rightfully have no fear to do something as mundane as house-sitting, because what happened to her was only the subject of horror movies…wasn’t it?

Not having met her I literally weep for this young girl, for the courses of her life she will not have the opportunity to pursue while she works around the scars left by this piece of waste. For the scars her family will bear in the never-ending process of healing from such a repugnant event...but I praise the wisdom of the presiding judge, and hope that this career criminal, this apparently well-diagnosed societal disease named Tracy A. Roberson will be off the streets for at least a few more months before he can finally be tried before his peers and at last placed where he belongs…amongst the worst offenders against society getting the best help he can to redeem his right to be called ‘human’, because in my mind, if he hadn’t lost that title before this last offense, he should certainly be stripped of it now. As for his most recent victim?

No court can give back what Tracy Roberson has (alleged to have) taken from her, but I can say at least that myself and a few hundred of my closest friends can give her my prayers and assurance that we will never stop trying to prevent her and others from ever going through what she has experienced.

With the utmost sincerity and empathy,

C.W. Joel

I was shocked and mortified at the home invasion and rape of the 19-year-old girl that was house sitting at my friends the Lebovitz home. This scum should be locked away and the key thrown in the garbage. I also commend Judge Bales for raising his bond. I hope the scum bag rots in jail for the rest of his life.

Empathy, sympathy and all of the other words cannot express how sorry I am for the young 19-year-old girl and what she must be feeling. Her life will be changed forever by this selfish, ignorant idiot.

Hope the jury sees no reason to let this man ever get out of jail. Life in prison would be the only way to keep this scum of the earth from ever doing something like this again.

My compliments to Mr. Joel and Mr. Dendy. You are both perfect examples of, as jurors, every prosecutor’s dream, and every innocent person’s nightmare.

To their credit, our forefathers, many years ago, had insight into such ignorance as you both have displayed in your opinion, and they declared that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

Unfortunately, in modern times, such insight has not prevailed. What I am speaking of has nothing to do with the innocence or guilt of the suspect, but everything to do with due process of law.

I pity you both, and those who may be your victims. Ignorance should never be excused.
