Tapp, Robert (Chickamauga)

Robert Tapp, 93, died on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008.

Robert was a veteran of World War II, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, member of Crawfish Springs Lodge 300 F&AM and a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Tapp Plaster, Johnnie Tapp Hammontree Putnam; brothers, Loren Tapp, Hoyl Tapp and Bill Tapp.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Pluma "Pet" Wilbanks Tapp; daughter, Robbie Tapp, both of Chickamauga; caregiver, friend and family member, June Wooten; sister, Rebecca Cofer, Chickamauga; brothers, Jack Tapp, Fort Oglethorpe, Dan Tapp, Trion, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Wallis Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lee Griggs officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
