Just to let you know if you’ll do a little research on your electrical bills that there has already been an increase of 9%. I received my budget bill for the new year. When I called and asked why the increase was so much since I had over a $100 credit at the end of the last cycle, the representative informed me that it covered the 9% rate increase.
I just got the letter this month. My budget bill went from $167 to $187. They tell you it goes on the usage amount over the past 12 months. Well, my usage amount and the billing amount for the last cycle left me with a good size credit. If you do the math $167 to $187 is 12% to 9%.

I’m still confused from last winter.
After receiving a bill that was three times the normal amount, the very kind lady at the EPB explained that it was due to the extra cool weather.
The fact that I have gas heat didn’t seem to faze her in the least.
She did offer to have someone sent to my house to trace all on the internal wiring at my expense.
