Evans, Delores posted August 7, 2008 Delores Evans, 66, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, in a local health care facility. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She retired from the Southside Health Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hopkins and Fannie Mae Bell; two brothers. Survivors include her husband, James Evans; daughters, Debra E. Haynes, Kassandra Evans, Tracie Chatmon and Gayle (James) Evans; stepsons, James Ervin Jennings and Rodney Jennings; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Herman (Christine) Holt, Herbert Holt, Nelson Bell and Michael Bell; sister, Willie Mae Williams; sister-in-law, Louise Evans Tinsley; God-daughters, Felicia Carson and Cassandra Hooks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the chapel with Pastor James Smith officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga Inc. |
