Imogene L. Bright, 85, of Hixson, died on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008.
Imogene was born Oct. 13, 1922, to the late Claude and Virginia Perry Lloyd. She and her husband owned and operated Bright’s Home Fashion for 26 years. Imogene was a member of White Oak Baptist Church, the Saved To Serve Sunday School Class and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was active in the cub scouts organization for years.
Imogene is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas W. Bright Sr.; three children, Jane Ann (Lanse) Sutton, Thomas W. (Diane) Bright Jr. and Mark (Beverly) Bright; four granddaughters, Amie (Jim) Stepkoski, Katie (Cameron) Griffith, Laura (Bently) Durant and Bonnie Bright; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Marjorie Taylor; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday and from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
