County Commission members on Wednesday offered prayer for veteran Assessor of Property Bill Bennett, who is ill.
Mr. Bennett was flown back from a Canada trip recently after suffering severe back pain there.
He has been undergoing a variety of tests.
Members of the Pachyderm Club on Monday offered similar prayers for the popular assessor, who earlier served on the County Commission.
Mr. Bennett is from Harrison.
His son, J.B. Bennett, is on the Election Commission.
