posted July 30, 2008

First Things First will hold relationship seminars for teens, singles, and married couples at New Anointing Holiness Church of God starting Saturday, August 9.

Connections teaches teens the essential skills for success in their dating relationships. In this class, teens can learn self-understanding, how relationships work, managing emotions, dealing with problems, effective communication, and what to expect from dating and marriage.

How To Avoid Marrying A Jerk, a class based on the book by Dr. John Van Epp, walks you through the development of trust, its relationship to intimacy, and maximizing your potential of finding "the one" by giving you the tools to focus on the crucial characteristics of trust in a loving, lasting relationship.

Secrets of Lasting Love teaches couples skills that enable them to reach new depths of understanding each other. Attendees will learn skills for communicating effectively with others, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and much more, which will allow them to understand their partner at a deeper level.

These classes will take place at New Anointing Pure Holiness Church of God, located at 420 North Holly Street in Chattanooga starting Saturday August 9 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Subsequent sessions will be Friday August 15 and Friday August 22 from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Food will be served.
