Girlfriends of Faith, a special 2-day women's event at Memorial Auditorium on Aug. 8 and 9, includes special guest speakers and an elegant concert as well as hope and inspiration offered through song, story and testimony.
Hours include Friday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Many churches use the event as a mini-retreat for women, organizers said, adding "You will leave different than when you arrive".
Gigi Graham, daughter of the Reverend Billy Graham, will be sharing stories and memories of being raised in the home of Billy and her late mother Ruth Graham. Gigi will open her heart and life and show that even being raised in the Graham family, she does not have it all together. "We are all flawed no matter who our parents are."
Recording artist, speaker and dramatist, Pam Pierce will bring you to laughter and tears through her musical artistry, heart moving stories and personal testimony. Pam's music and speaking have been featured across the country with her television specials on TBN, Daystar Television and the Family Network.
Dana Scott, sister of Rachel Joy Scott who was killed in the Colorado, Columbine High School shootings, will share her sister's testimony and the events that changed our country on that tragic Colorado day. Joy has been called a martyr for responding to the shooter by saying, "Yes, I believe in God."
