Elliott, John Walter Jr. posted July 19, 2008
Mr. Elliott was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of North Hamilton Church of Christ. He retired from Dupont after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Hazel Denton and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kiana Elliott. Survivors include his wife, Coleen Elliott of Soddy-Daisy; sons, John W. Elliott III of Chattanooga and Timothy M. (Kimberlee) Elliott of Torrance, Ca.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, at North Hamilton Church of Christ with Minister Jim Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, Tn. 37379.
