by special report to The Chattanoogan
posted July 18, 2008

Soddy-Daisy High School assistants Jared Hensley and Ted Mulder have been hired as head baseball coaches in the Hamilton County school system.

Hensley was hired Thursday to succeed Steve Garland at Soddy-Daisy, and Mulder was chosen to take over for Brian Bray at Hixson High.

Both were assistants on Garland's staff last year.

Hensley played for Garland at Soddy-Daisy, and has served as Garland's asisstant and as an assistant under Bumper Reese at Red Bank.

Mulder, who teaches at Hixson Elementary, has been with Garland the last four years.
