Health Department Confirms Ninth Case Of Salmonella Saintpaul

The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed the state's ninth case of Salmonella Saintpaul, the strain associated with the current FDA advisory. This case involves a resident of Anderson County, who has recovered.

A county breakdown of diagnosed cases is as follows:
Anderson - 1
Carroll - 1
Davidson - 2
Rutherford -1
Shelby - 1
Wilson - 1
Williamson - 2

According to the CDC, more than 1,167 people in 42 states, the District of Columbia and Canada have been associated with this outbreak.
