posted July 15, 2008

A Capital Campaign reception hosted by the Tennessee Nurses Association is set for Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 5-7 p.m. at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.

The reception is the formal announcement of plans to purchase a building in Nashville that will be the beacon for nursing excellence in Tennessee, officials said. This will be a place to gather, a place to work, a place to plan, a place to bring together creative minds to promote the profession of nursing.

Anticipated attendees include: Virginia Trotter Betts, commissioner, Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities; Sharon Adkins, Tennessee Nurses Association executive director; and Laura Beth Brown, president of Vanderbilt Home Care Services, Inc. and TNA president.
