Annual Prep Event Starts Tuesday In Murfreesboro

Four area teams – Ooltewah, Soddy-Daisy, Whitwell and GPS – will participate in the softball at the Starplex Complex.
Ooltewah opens play on Wednesday at 6 p.m. eastern in Class AAA against Houston.
GPS faces Briarcrest, which eliminated Baylor last week in a best-of-three series, a 6 eastern.
Whitwell plays at 8 against Trinity Christian.
Two-time defending champion Soddy-Daisy plays Bolton on Wednesday morning at 11 eastern.
Three area teams – Lookout Valley, Marion County and Baylor – will be in the baseball tournament.
Lookout will play Huntingdon at 5 p.m. eastern on Tuesday at Middle Tennessee Christian. Marion County will face Goodpasture at 7:30 at Blackmon and Baylor will face Brentwood Academy at 7:30 at Battle Ground Academy.
Team semifinals will be held in tennis on Tuesday with the finals on Wednesday. Individual play will be Thursday and Friday.
Chattanooga Christian’s girls will play Ezell-Harding at 10 a.m. in the A-AA semifinals Tuesday with the CCS boys facing University School of Jackson at noon at MTSU.
The McMinn County boys will play White Station in AAA at 4 p.m. at Old Fort.
In DII-AA, Baylor will play GPS at 4 p.m. and McCallie will play Montgomery Bell Academy at 8.
The soccer begins Wednesday with the track and field set for Thursday and Friday.
