Bishop, Roy Gene (Dalton) posted May 16, 2008
Roy loved to play his guitar and sing and he was in the first band to play at a Fort Hill School Dance. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Dalton Bishop of Dalton; children and their spouses, Mavis and Ron Vaudt of Huntsville, Tx.; Shirley and John Campbell of Ringgold, Sonia and Tony Shuler, Joyce and Donald Flowers, Charlie Ray Saylor, Teresa Bishop and Joseph Lloyd Saylor all of Dalton; sisters, Katherine Kidd of Crossville, Ala., Ruth Britton of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; grandchildren, Michael Howell, Zoe Secord and Leigha Petty; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.lovefuneralhomega.com.
